Bosch (Steam Generator) Iron

Hi people

Our Bosch (Steam Generator) B25L is not steaming – hence the brackets.

I’ve ‘cleaned’ it of limescale numerous times (by filling and emptying the boiler) but I’m afraid the ‘usual iron operator’ is not a big believer in this procedure, so a great deal of limescale had accumalated.

It will produce steam if I fill the boiler and turn it on, but it won’t draw water from the reservoir. The ‘usual iron operator’ also reports that sometimes this will only happen for a few minutes before stopping steaming.

Any ideas how this can be fixed – or even if it’s worth fixing. It cost about £130 new a few years ago, but when it worked it was good.

Ooh dear…..! Sounds well lime scaled up then and a costly fix….. 🙁

What about taking a punt on THIS?

Distilled water in it next time eh? 8) 😉 🙂

What about a descaling product? Though I think Bosch says don’t use them; but hey …

Hmmm in Norfolk: not too far either.

Yes distilled water next time – unless of course the ‘designated iron operator’ can’t be bothered 😉
