ParticipantHi all,
Firstly thanks for such a great forum. It’s so good to have people to pose these questions to.
I have just installed a Bosch WVT 1200 GB. Part of the process is to remove the 4 transport bolts from the back of the machine. You are supposed to unscrew them and the inside parts are supposed to drop to the floor and stored for later use.
I unscrewed them but only 3 of the inner parts fell to the floor. I have tilted in all directions and tried to look from below but I cannot find the mysterious 4th part. I also removed the central plate from the back of the machine to have a peek but no luck.
Would it be dangerous to use the machine as it is now? Could the bolt have fallen somewhere that could cause trouble?
Any thoughts would be great.
Cheers
Lee

I would look harder, they can hide and yes, can cause serious damage if left inside.

I disagree gegsy, the bolt presumably is removed? The only part remaining is the plastic spacer which will have dropped out of harms way even if not found….in which case the machine is ready to use without worry.
Belt and braces approach would be to remove the lid and have a good look at the back of the tub 😉

We find most of the time only 3 of those pesky spacers are easily found, and the fourth is often around the suspension leg at the cabinet. However, give the machine a good shake, rock it around. Then make sure the drum move forwards and backwards freely enough then if it should fall free from wherever it is.

Thanks for the responses. I will remove the lid and have a good look around.
Hopefully it will show itself.
