Bosch tumble drier not drying

I wonder if anyone might be able to advise what to do about a Bosch tumble dryer which appears to be working normally except there is no heat and the clothes are not getting dried.

Are there any simple checks that I can do to try and get it working without calling out an engineer?

It is my mum’s machine and I don’t know the serial number – just that it is a Bosch maxx performance
