DO NOT BUY A BOSCH TUMBLE DRIER – DO NOT BUY FROM COMET. I bought a Bosch Tumble Drier (mainly because Which recommended) – model WTL6003GB – which had a two years guarantee – a major reason to go up to this brand – bought October 2004.
When it broke down – by leaking water all over the floor – I tried to phone Bosch customer care line – despite ringing all day I was unable to get through apart from once about 12.20 when I was told by anwermachine that the office would be closed from 13.00 – 14.00 p.m. and then I was cut off! Around 17.00 I decided to phone Comet who supplied the machine and they actually do the Bosch servicing. Reluctantly, they agreed to send an engineer but the earliest appointment was week-10 days – when they came they just looked but no parts or were able to mend – I was told the parts would take several weeks – (I could have got these parts myself online within days!) and then when they had the parts I then had to make another appointment (another week-10 days) for them to be fitted. The engineer thought I must have bought a managers special deal as the bottom of the machine at the back underneath was dented – in other words this machine had been dropped by the time it got to me.
Anyway, when within a couple of months the machine was mended – it broke down with the same problem within another couple of months. To be honest I have not done anything about this, mainly BOSCH tumble driers are so NOISY – I have it in the utility but I can still hearing it shrieking away through the kitchen and into my sitting room! I did ask the engineer about the noise – but he said there was nothing wrong with it – BOSCH WERE NOISY.
Anyway, I have gone out and bought my previous model ZANUSSI which quietly goes about its business. I might annoy Comet again and get them out to the bosch as it is still under guarantee – but is it worth it.

Oh that’s a good ‘get out of jail’ excuse I guess, but more likely the noise was a loose or broken fan blade?

I’m not sure if a WTL6003 is actually made by Bosch or whether it’s a ‘re-badged’ make from another manufacturer though? (As there are several models in the Bosch range I guess this one is at the bottom end)

Usually Bosch dryers (mid-range) are excellent 😉

    I think that’s a Whirlpool clone 😕

    While we’re on the subject…

DON’T BUY INDESIT, SERVIS, and for God’s sake DON’T SHOP AT COMET, CURRYS or ARGOS
