Hi lads,
This dryer heats for 10 secs on start then heat goes off on every anti-clockwise tumble and comes on for a few seconds clockwise but very rare. Tried with damp washing, still the same.
Anything to test and is this a common fault? Customer said it has dried badly since new. Measue 172 ohms between carbons on sensor circuit.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rob
Well the power to the element does go off on the shorter off the 2 directions (whichever that is – I forget?) But as the power to the element only comes on infrequently during the main tumble direction, I can only assume the module (264490) is at fault? (dodgy relay on the board?)
But as the Module is over £120 please don’t take my advice too literally 😥
Just read thru your fault, this is identical to what I have. I tested everything and came to conclusion it has to be PCB….WRONG 😳 I tried new one and still the same fault. I suspect it can only be thermister… but which one, there are 2. One on exhaust and another to protect heater?
Hi Brian,
Quoted a pcb and she said no so I got her a White Knight which she says is far, far better and the Bosch is in the garage waiting for the summer for me to play with so, I’m sorry I can’t help.
Surely there are some BSH men who have come across this and can throw some light on it?????
