Bosch Upright Freezer

The freezer door was left open and the freezer partially defrosted. I tried restarting the freezer and left it over night but the temperature never dropped. There are three buttons/lights on the front of the unit orange(fast freeze button?) green light, red light. Both the green and red lights are on when the unit is switched on. The pump appears to start but only for about five seconds or so then stops. When it is switched off you can hear the coolant running/dripping. There doesn’t appear to be any leaks. Don’t know anything about the unit as it was bought second hand.
Anyone got any ideas or is it scrap?

Try leaving it off (24-36 hours) as this will allow all of the ice that will have built up while the door was open to defrost.

Let us know what happens after that please.
