Model GSU 3401 GB – Started with temperature problems weeks ago and will go no colder than -10. The temperature creeps up and then I press ‘super’ again, switch it on and off and the alarm will stop and it goes back to -10. I was searching for a new freezer when I stumbled upon this forum. Before I buy a new one, has anyone else experienced this? I did ask Bosch but the call out charges (before parts) put me off taking that any further, the freezer is 7 years old. Is it repairable? Any advice gratefully received, thanks.

have you tried defrosting it for 48 hrs and then switching it back on again ? If you look behind the grill at the top of the freezer compartment ( use a torch to look through the slats ) , can you see it all iced up ?
The door being left open for a shorttime can cause the evaporator to slowly ice up and will cause temp probs . A complete defrost will , in most cases , clear the prob .

Its worth trying it before you just dump the appliance .

Thanks very much for the quick reply, I’ll certainly try that, it could save a small fortune!
