I have purchased the Thermistor by-pass (part no [ur=http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/491415-bosch-fridge-freezer-thermistor-removal-kitl]491415) discussed in earlier forums but find the instructions do not match the wiring in my fridge.
The instruction diagram shows a three terminal plug attached to the pcb. With terminals numbered 1,2,3 from the top.
My fridge has a four terminal plug with two sets of numbers both numbering from the bottom.
The first sequence numbers all four terminals 1 – 4 the second sequence omits the first (bottom) terminal and numbers the remaining three 1 – 3..
So these terminals have two numbers each depending on which sequence is being used, the next to bottom terminal being either 1 or 2, the next one up being either 2 or 3 and the top one being either 3 or 4.
The colour references do not help either as the instructions refer to blue and brown wires attached to terminals 1 & 2 but my fridge has two blue wires (light blue and dark blue) attached to terminals 1 & 2 respectively and two brown wires (dark brown and light brown) attached to terminals 3 & 4 respectively.
If I use the three numbered terminal sequence the dark blue wire is attached to terminal 1 (next to bottom)and the dark brown to terminal 2 (next to top) which appears to match the written instructions but not the diagram which shows these two terminals as the top and middle terminals of three. Before I cut any wires I would like a steer as to which is which.
