Bosch Vario Perfect – Knocking when on spin

Hi, I’ve been following topics on this forum and other sites about problems with knocking sounds when washing machine is on a spin cycle. My washing machine is barely a year old and it’s making a hell of a racket on spin.
I pulled it out and discovered grey grit on the floor, on the left hand, front side of where the machine sits. I’ve checked the suspension springs and they are attached and wonder if the shock absorber needs replacing on the above the left side, above the drum?
Pushing on the drum, it appears that’s where the block knocks against the wall of the machine.
I should add the product number is WAQ283S1GB 12

If you bought this machine new then it’s still under the manufacturers two year warranty. Playing around too much will invalidate it.

You can phone them on 0844 892 8979 or book in a call on their website. Either way remember to have the all important Enr no and FD no which can be found on the inside of the door.
