Bosch Vario Perfect WAQ 243 D0GB/11 Display Resets Spin When Down To 4 Mins

My Bosch Vario Perfect washing machine WAQ 243 D0GB/11 is getting to about 4 mins remaining then resetting itself to total wash time before returning to start of spin cycle and repeating. This is not happening on all settings for eg 15 min quick wash or 30 degree cotton wash of the ones tried so far. On the cotton wash it counts down to end but the screen blanks out before hitting 0 and stopping.

My main wash is 30 degrees speed perfect which is always resetting at 4 mins at the moment. the machine is usable but cant really go out if its going to continually on in the spin cycle. New bushes recently fitted so hoping its saveable.

Just had a 90 degree wash on to see if machine was heating up and its hot.

since it happens on spin i would check the carbon motor brushes

The Carbon brushes have been replaced in last 3/6 months, would this effect the display and the continued spin? Not all cycles seem to have this issue.

was thinking the brushes may have excess sparking affecting the electronics

What should i look for ? The new brushes where fitted in April 21

take the brushes out and look at the head that contacts the armature. It should be shiny. id its dull and pitted at some point it may be sparking
