ParticipantHello everyone,
I am considering purchasing a Bosch Series 8 Dishwasher (SMD8YCX02G) for £999. I was wondering if it’s worth the upgrade to a Miele Dishwasher (G7460SCVI) that costs £1499 ?
Would the Miele clean and dry any better? My main concern is cleaning performance.
Many thanks in advance.

Moderatorwell the heater on the miele is much more robust, the bosch one is prone to failure. lot of people have no problems with it but you have to make sure you keep filters and bars clean as poor water flow can cause problems
Its a pity as the heater in the older units never went or at least i never had one go but the later ones I have changed lots of them as other engineers will tell you the sameon the plus side the model you have chosen has an all metal tank. the cheaper model are prone to leaks from the tank as the floor is plastic
you have also chosen one of the more expensive miele units with auto dose. this would mean you have to buy their detergent packs to be able to use this function. if you pick a model without this function its cheaper and you can use the normal fairy or other brands of tablets

DaveMany thanks for your response. Would there be any difference with cleaning/drying performance?
And also, with the Miele, can standard dishwasher tablets also be used regardless? I saw a slot for such tablets in photos of the product. Many thanks.

Thank you. Which dishwasher brand(s) would you personally recommend?

Moderatortop of the tree is miele
next down in my opinion is probably Smegfollowed by bosch / neff / seimans which are the same but not the cheaper models with plastic tank floor
