Bosch W/D program freezing

Hi folks,

called to a Bosch WVD24520GB/08 with a bit of an unusual symptom.
starts off program fine but freezes about an hour into the cycle after emptying. Does the same on a rinse cycle.
No fault code, no blockages, fills to correct levels, insulation good on wash and dry elements, all solenoids good, nothing to go on at all. Just freezes with time left on cycle and I can’t press any buttons or make any changes apart from turning off and back on.
PCB maybe?

Check the sump ball for foreign objects.

Have you checked the contanuity on the heater?

OC heaters normally stop Bosch mid cycle.

thanks for replies, I didn’t check the sump ball admittedly, and although I checked insulation reading I don’t think I checked for continuity! :clown:

Quick update to conclude…
spot on diagnosis BSH-MAN. A mangled sock was stuck in the sump ball, suffocating the pressure system. This made the display freeze mid program after drain time-out.
