Bosch W/M Door Cable

Hi,

Anyone come across this problem and a possible solution?

Bosch washer enr:WFB4000GB/02
Door opening cable snapped..we ordered a new switch unit (comes with new cable). The new cable has a different outer than the orginal it is now metal the orginal was a thinner plastic outer.
The new outer is to thick to fit into the door interlock…ordered new door interlock..(part number changed). however this is identical to the original!!

So the damn thing still will not fit..opened the hole in the interlock so cable outer now fits but appears to be too long coz does not allow door lock to fully open!!! 👿

anyone come across this!!!! HELP!!!

Yes and I have solved it by fitting either an Indesit Interlock (part no: C00051438) to those bowden cables that have thick outer sheaths. Or a Qualtex (part no: INT47) to those with thin outer sheaths.

Both types incidentally are indeed “Rold” made interlocks the same as Bosch use but cheaper of course 😉
