Bosch w/m won’t start

I have a Bosch exxel1200 (wfo2465gb) washer and it went bang ! My wife said it was a mechanical bang rather than an electronic one but this should probably be discounted as concrete evidence.

The lights come on and the door locks, the display is functioning as normal – even counting down in time but nothing happens. There is a faint hum from somewhere in the m/c.

Can anyone offer advise please – two small children generate a lot of washing !!!!

If you turn the drum by hand from inside, does it seem to turn with minor force?

yes – the drum spins relatively freely

With this particular fault, you would benefit from an engineer call in all fairness.

ok thank you – i thought that might be the case.

Update for those that might have this problem in the future.

Pump was jammed with a screw, cleared screw and it works.

Was just lucky the screw didn’t do any greater damage to the fins.
