    I’ve been to this machine and could find no reason for the fault. The machine runs right through a cottons 40 cycle until 7 minutes left, when it goes to 1 minute, but completes cycle. All components test ok.I’ve replaced the pump because of excessive noise, but time problem still there. Any clues please?

    Motor insulation too low?

    Insulation on all components fine .Because machine had been on for a while everything was warmed up, so I think it would have shown up. Customer has used machine since and says it’s OK. Seems odd though. Maybe it was the pump after all.

    The other possibility , if it happened only once , was an out of balance load where the machine aborted the spin ?

    Have you visually checked the brushes? Sounds like worn brushes?

    Yes, first thing I did. Customers has confirmed after several washes, it’s not skipped a beat.
