    During spin, When spin timer comes down to 8 mins, clock jumps down to 1 min.

    But does it spin?

    And, you may find most modern machines do this if the anti-balance is tripped, as in, there’s an uneven load in the machine.

    Insulation problem with the motor I expect.

    Re: Bosch WAE24363GB/5 Washing Machine

    So I have the same problem with my Bosch WFO2864GB/01 : wash is fine, spin cycle goes from 11->8mins ok but DOES NOT get up to full spin speed. It then jumps from 8->1min and finishes. When it is empty it spins faster and goes until 7 mins before finishing.

    Suspect the balance as I can see the out drum moving quite a lot when it trying to get to speed.

    I changed the motor brushes over the weekend and (for various reasons) removed and cleaned all the out flow plumbing (drain sump, pressure chamber & hose (not sensor), pump filter, container return. What could I have effected to cause the in-balance?

    @martin
    : what do you mean by motor insulation?

    TIA.

    Its insulation resistance to earth is poor.

    So my problem as gone now. The motor is spinning to full speed now. I suspect that I had not cleaned up the armature properly and carbon dust from the brushes was partially shorting the windings. This sort-of fits with Martin’s coments too?
