This is a machine that I supplied about 2 1/2 years ago. Problem today is that if you select spin (1200) the display comes up at 12mins. When the relay actuates for spin, the time drops to 4 mins, the spin speed drops to 800 and the reduced ironing option illuminates. Does not always do it. Anyone seen this fault before?.
Any pearls of wisdom much appreciated.

Earth leak on the motor, have you checked (meggered) its insulation to earth?
