    Bosch WAE24464GB/03 washer. FD8605.

Drum bearing failure; bearings ordered; tub out of the machine on the floor; bolts removed from the tub……..how the hell do you split the tub? There are loads of clips and it is almost impossible to hold them all down together. 👿
This is the first of this type of Bosch tub group I’ve had to repair; what’s the best way to split this tub without damaging it?

    Help please!!!

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Smash the clips. Gen Bosch bearing set incudes enough replacement screws to secure the halves together.

    Thanks guys!!
Managed to do it by gently chiseling the small barb off the end of the ends of each of the tongues with a razor sharp wood chisel. This left the entire tongue to help in relocating the tub halves on reassembly. Now I know that you can remove the tops of the tongues without damaging the tub, it’ll be a simpler job next time. 😉

    Thanks again,

    Steve.
