Bosch WAE24469GB error F17

I don’t know if anyone can help?
My Bosch washing machine has stopped working and gives me the error F17. Looking around the internet, I think that looks like the water inlet valve has had it. Is there an easy way to check this?

There’s plenty of pressure when I remove the feed pipe and open the cold feed isolator tap. When I run it on a 15 minute cycle (the quickest, therefore the easiest one to test the machine on) it opens the cold valve for about 5 seconds but that must only allow .5L of water into the machine. Definitely not enough for a wash. Does that sound like the valve is playing up or is there something else which could be causing the valve to close after such a short time?

Yes replace the valve, it is faulty.

Just fitted a new valve and the error is still there F17. GRRR!
Any ideas anyone?

You may have to clear the error code from memory. To do that, turn selector switch to six o’clock position. The touch the spin speed button whilst turning the selector one position clockwise. Release button and turn selector to off. Fingers crossed that might do it. 😀

thanks very much for your help, I really appreciate it. I’m afraid that’s not solved it though. It stops about 7 minutes through the 15 minute quick wash cycle if that helps? Still error code F17.
