Bosch WAJ28008GB/12 Washing Machine Randomly Displays “4”

Good afternoon all,

A customer has reported the above with her Bosch Serie2 washing machine. (she is adamant that no other digits appear, when 4 appears!)

She confirmed that the above is displayed sometimes, when selecting a new programme, yet clears when switching off at the socket.

Then, all is fine, until it recurrs…

I’ve visited and the machine has not behaved at all. Monitored on a wash cycle; all good.

There appears to be very little info’ on the above, so any help appreciated.

coincidentally i have had a customer phone to say her bosch WAJ28008GB/08 is randomly displaying 4KG and wont start,
she phone dosch and they said it was a faulty sensor i have yet to go and look at it.

Well, that would make sense… although I wonder which sensor may be playing up?

Nope it’s when the door is not closed and it shows 4kg there isn’t a fault on machine it’s showing the weight load for the programme selected

ok could therefore be a faulty door lock?

Maybe but worth cleaning door glass and door seal
