    Good afternoon all,

Wondering if someone can shed some light on the cause of a couple of problems on the above washing machine?

My customer reported that the door was permanently locked, and I suggested trying to open it remotely via the plastic strip/band, which they tried without success.

I visited today, and opened the door as above.

However, having started a spin/drain cycle (13 minutes) to assess, the door locks, and the machine drains, prior to rapidly reducing the time remaining to 5 minutes, and then quickly returning to 13 minutes remaining.

During the above there is no drum action, and when it returns to 13 minutes remaining, the door lock light flashes, as though the programme has been paused. (which it hasn’t) and the door remains locked.

I then opened the door remotely again, and replaced the door interlock, before trying a rinse cycle. (22 minutes)

The door locks, water is drawn, and at 19 minutes remaining, the machine drains, and reverts to 22 minutes remaining.

The door remains locked at this point, and the door lock light remains lit, (not flashing) along with no drum action throughout.

I’m unsure if a board fault could cause both the above faults, and need to return to carry out more tests, which would be helpful if anyone has experienced such problems!

    Thanks,

    jonty

Hi, I had one doing similar things and fitted a new sensor to the motor, part number 10015047, 3G sensor and it fixed it. Cheap enough so got to be worth a try. [h=2][/h]

If the door stays locked and you have changed interlock then it will be the power module I’ve never changed a motor on these

    Thanks for your message kaibart,

However, I have ordered the drive motor sensor from Bosch as suggested/agreed with ray.t

I understand the main/power board may be faulty/the cause of one, or both problems, yet there is no motor action, along with the door interlock “jamming,” so I remain perplexed as to how a motor or board fault can be causing both problems…

It’s looking very much like the power/inverter module is the cause.

I replaced the motor sensor yesterday, to no avail.
