    Hi all,

this is a very good friends machine (as is always the case when it’s not straight forward).
I went looked at it a couple of weeks ago and the reported fault was it was completely dead when they went to use it. I traced the fault to the main control board and carried out the usual checks, earth fault, shorts etc and all seemed fine. I replaced the board, tested the machine and all was working.
I had a call yesterday saying that the machine was dead again. She had switched it on pressed start, it started then tripped the Rcd. They have checked the fuse and it was ok, so can only assume the board has failed again. The question is, what has caused it? She couldn’t remember if the Rcd tripped last time, but it was just completely dead. I assume I am going to be looking at door lock, pump or motor failure?, how reliable are the motors on these?
    Thanks
    Merv

    Hi Dave,

yes I did replace the power module. I did look over the old board for damage, but couldn’t see any obvious signs of damage.
