A mid range but not overly cheap contraption. Between
2 to 3 years old, I know because I installed the offending machine, drum bearings just worn out, sealed tank too, sealed tank £201.17, that`s gotta hurt! Machine destined for great grave yard in the sky. Would have been better off buying a Logik with 1 years warranty or better still a Hisense with 2 year warranty because both you can change the drum bearings if you feel so inclined or/and run the things as long as possible then scrap `em, both machines cost under 180 quid, 6 kg 1200 spin. Why bother buying so called quality. I give up!

This is the problem with Bosch these days it can be a lottery but its the same for a lot of manufacturers as cost wins over quality. I still buy buy the WAE range and as far as i know they can still have a bearing change

Re: bosch WAQ series washing machine

Slowly ever slowly the industry is turning the once fixable into the only disposable. Across all brands the story is the same, buy, use, bin. No point in shelling out loads of wonga, just buy what suits and when the wheels fall of buy another.

The repair trade is up in arms over the situation and rightly so but there’s no point in arguing otherwise. ISE was a lesson to us all. Top end machines are only the preserve of those that can well afford, the remaining 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} buy cheap.

Current Bosch model series as of 27/05/2016 with sealed tanks or otherwise.
Models beginning with WAW,WAYH,WAQ,WAT, all have sealed tanks.
Models beginning with WAE, WAN are the only 2 series that you can change the drum bearings. However I was unable to find the parts break down for the WIS built-in machines so they are an unknown.
