Participantor whatever the model no is.
has anyone been out to any yet? just fitted one for a customer whos having to use their washing machine on a pump due to low pressure water feed, and its not working. it was replacing a 6 year old exxcel, which worked fine, until drum failure, and requested an exxcel again, and is keeping cutting out and flashing up no fill error messages. under the lid i noticed there seems to be a (IR type?) sensor card attached to the solenoid, but its such a new model i cant find any info on parts from bosch. also noted it seems to be a welded tub (!?) as theres no visible screws and the front body panel “breathes” out and in when there is a load inside the machine pushing against the glass. wondered if the “q” referred to the factory it comes out of…?

There’s a WAQ28460GB shown on the BSH site. It does have a sealed drum though strangely enough it gives the part nos of both the bearing kit and the inner drum. 😕
Doesn’t look Chinese, though can’t rule that out as it could have been made out there in one of their co-operative production plants. Bosch but with a twist of lemon grass perhaps? 😈

after thinking abotu it i couldnt beleive they would put a sealed tub in a £500 appliance… it did occurr to me this might be a bayonet / slot together tub? where it unscrews maybe?
its tenuous but if you look at the back of them then they have a very similar backplate assembly pressing to a chinese samsung or lg, and the front panel is a all in one pressing, with no removable kickpanel. i suspect the lack of extra framing which is a byproduct of having a to-the-ground front panel is that its less resiliant to flex. much like the current crop of non-italian origin hoovers and candys…

I’ve been out to a couple and just think its the new equivalent of the WAA models…..which also have sealed tubs , no kick plates and as you know , in some models , no user drain pump access . Don’t think we’re that much into China just yet…..apart from the US style Fridge freezers

I’ve had four in the last month with sealed drums all just over 2 years old and requiring new drums, i used to reccomend Bosch but starting to doubt that now. JJ
