We have a customer with a Bosch Washer WAS28460GB/04 stopped mid spin showing F57. The usual reset did not clear it. I have heard all sorts of suggestions of what F57 means in less well-informed places than here, and I have not found a full fault table from Bosch itself that includes it, so can someone tell from experience what it means, and how I fix it!
Over to you, assembled Whitegoods Wizards!
Best wishes
Myfil 😉
You too will be a “Whitegoods Wizard” if you use the search facility for behold in there our resident wizard nomadPaul suggests it is the Inverter Board that is usually the trouble.
Take a look! Type ‘Bosch F57’ in the search box…….. 😉
Hi Martin
I did search but must have mis-worded it……apologies, O Wizard!!
I did a quote but the customer baled.
I also took a look at the new AC motor. Guess what – it has a Chinese part number! I bet the inverter board has as well…
Why are Bosch buying Chinese junk to replace their own excellent motor that lasts forever (with a few brush changes)? A few years ago they bought horrible cheap bearing sets (probably cheap Chinese) that bombed out in 3 yrs (under 2 in one case) and pissed off all my customers that I had told to buy Bosch “as they are the best on the market”. Now this.
