    Hi,
I have a Bosch WAS28461GB (6 years old) & today it began to power off during whichever cycle I put it on, including the spin only cycle. The power off point appears to be random but within 10 minutes of any cycle starting.
By power off I mean the machine looks like it has no power to it; no lights or beeps or noises etc.
If I turn the selector dial to off (without removing or resetting the mains power) it will power back on in a “just switched on” state but not at the first rotation of the dial.
I have plugged it into a different power socket with the same result.
Any ideas where to start looking for fault finding?
I am at the DIY, experiment with everything broken level of experience.

    All help gratefully received.

if you switch off at the socket, wait 5 mins and switch on without moving the dial does it come back to life ?

does sound like and electronic fault in the timer

    Hi electrofix.
The machine powered back up immediately on reapplying the power. It initially showed 15 minutes remaining (the original full cycle time) then reducing it to 10 minutes which is about where it was in the cycle when it went off (assumed as I did not see exact time of failure).
Whilst writing this it has gone off again but failed quicker than on the previous occasion.

Repeated power down & re-applied after 5 minutes again with same result; resuming on 8 minutes this time.
Does this confirm electronic fault in timer as suggested?
