Bosch Washer/Dryer

My washer/dryer has stopped emptying waste water. I have drained and cleaner the machine and it works once or twice after that and stops again.

Any idea what might be wrong?

I cant seem to find an enr but the machine is a Bosch Logixx Wash and Dry one, about 4 years old.

Hi
Have a look around the door inner or failing that have a look on the back of the appliance at the top near the power cable entry.

the problem is the drain pump itself. Normal fault is appliance will work a couple of times then fails to drain due to pump overheating and siezing.At the end of the cycle if the appliance is left for about an hour the pump cools down and then you are able to select drain and pump will work.

THanks. Would this require a drain pump replacement?

I have arranged for a UKW approved repairrer to call tomorrow. How much should I expect to pay for a new pump. Is the broken pump problem a recurring one? How long should one expect a pump to last under reasonable use in London (very hard water).

Any long term precautions that might prevent this?
