    Hi,

I have an error code E:36 -10 flashing on my Bosch washer/dryer, WDU28560GB. Basically it wont drain, I checked the drain pump filter and all fine but the water comes out very very slowly. The door eventually opened but there is a lot of water in the drum, that doesn’t seem to be going despite the pump filter and drain hose being open.

Before I call out an engineer, is there anything else I can do?

    Thanks

if you have opened the filter with machine full and its only trickling out then you blockage is in the sump hose as it leaves the drum

Thanks, I can hear it draining, then it stops and leaves a pool in the bottom with error E:36 -10, I called Bosch and they said it could be a problem with the Aqua Plus. As it’s so new I thought perhaps it would something more straight forward. I have googled that error and nothing comes up for it.

Is it difficult to check the sump hose? I don’t want to invalidate the warranty, but they can’t come out until Friday, with two children I hoped to be able to fix it before then.

if it is blocked you would have something missing out of the wash

small socks, colour catchers, hankerchief etc

if the machine has water in it and you take out the filter, it should all drop out very very quickly. if it doesnt it has to be blocked

where is the machine plumbed into
sink waste or stantion pipe ?

To be honest I’m not that organised with the washing, I just threw in what was in the wash basket, so if a small item is missing I would have no idea.

I believe it’s attached to the sink waste, so the pipe that takes away the water hooks into a waste pipe under the sink.
    I have checked these too.

I did lift up the machine, but underneath is completely sealed unlike my old ones where you could see inside. There is a white plastic plate under what I am guessing is the sump pipe, hard to know and I can’t find any info online.

I tried to run a quick wash to see if the water was draining at all and it isn’t. When opening the drain hose only a small amount comes out, so it’s full of water.

Where could a blockage be that is stopping the water coming out from drain hose and coin filter?

    Thanks

Thanks, as the bottom is sealed on this unit I guess I should wait for the engineer. I’m not sure how to access it on this model.

the front has to come off the machine so not easy

what you could do as a long shot is find a small mirror and a torch
remove the filter and inside where the filter comes out is a hole where the sump hose connects. angle the mirror and torch so you can see up the hose. You can then see if there is a sock stuck at the entrance to the filter that may be able pulled out
