ParticipantBosch WKD28350 performs all mechanical functions but on a wash or drying cycle stops at random and the indicator panel goes off Then a regular clicking noise begins and continues until the programme selector is turned to off. Stopping seems unrelated to the part of a wash or drying cycle. If the machine is then powered off and back on after a time eventually the indicator panel comes back on and the cycle can be sometimes be resumed

I’m assuming you have checked the plug and wall socket first?

Yes, and powered from a different outlet with the same effect

OK, now when the panel lights go out and the clicking noise starts, try opening the door? I’m thinking faulty door lock connection?

Door is locked securely at that stage and can only be opened by the manual overide pull

But you might have something there…in the ‘failed state’I’ve just pushed the door quite hard shut and the panel came live again and the cycle could be restarted. Might be coincidence so I’ll try again when it next stops

Often a door interlock problem if not it’s looking like main PCB problems. 🙁

Sadly it was a coincidence, this time pushing on the door does nothing and the machine remains dead except for the clicking noise…

And chances are with the lid off it is coming from the PCB maybe?

Starting to look very much that way…the clicking noise is clearly an intentional signal but I can’t see a reference to it anywhere or any error codes …I guess a PCB replacement is seriously expensive ?

Not cheap for sure…check it out on Bosch’s spare parts website.
