bosch washing machine

hi folks i have a bosch classix washing machine thats gone on the blink it is showing motor fault on the display i removed the motor and fitted it to a friends machine which is a bosch as well but is a 1200 spin where mine is 1400 spin and it works and does not show a fault. there is 2 pcb’s one for on/off and controlling the spin which also works in friends machine the power board has a differnt socket on it so i could not test it. drain pump and solinoid valves work. there is one extra wire going to the motor on my machine what for dont know 7 wires compared to friends machine which has 6. any help will be much appreciated

Give us the full model number of the machine would help as there’s hundreds of Bosch out there in the wild………..

Most likely is that the carbon brushes need replacing and the motor cleaned of carbon dust. Only then will it work without showing an error but the machine will need resetting first in order to do that.

i fitted new brushes and cleaned the motor tried it in my machine
with no luck, fitted it in friends machine and it worked.
what do you mean the machine will need resetting and how do you do it?
