Bosch washing machine

Hi Guys

Put some new brushes on a Bosch washer the other day (genuine).

The customer rang last night to say the washer is jumping to 1 minute on the wash cycle?

The old brushes had completely worn and the drum not spinning.

Never had this problem before 🙁

1 check if brushes are sparking

2 check for small earth faults on heater and motor but not enough to blow an rcd

i would try machine see it fails then disconnect heater and try again

Called today

Heater is fine but the machine is just constantly washing – never moves on, even when it gets to 1 minute.
I’m going back on Monday to hopefully repair a dry joint on the circuit board.

sound like heater is not coming on so dry joint theory is sound

It was a dry joint.

Can new brushes cause this or was it just a coincidence?
