Bosch washing machine, door lock buzzing three times…

MODEL: BOSCH Washing machine: WFR3269 GB/12

Customer called after machine tripped RCD. The machine now fills and spins/rotates drum, but door will not release, even when the LCD display is saying “Door can now be opened”. The door interlock is making a buzzing noise – three pulses. The cycle of buzzing repeats after 15 seconds or so.

Have tested obvious components for being ‘Down-to-Earth’ or ‘open circuit’, Which leaves me to suspect that the fault is the door interlock itself.

Has anyone had any experience with this issue/please can anyone confirm that the doorlocks do fail in this way? Am reluctant to just order the door lock having seen it’s price of around £50.00. (In case the fault is known as being one of the control module…)

makes me wonder if the door lock has welded shut did it blow the rcd or a mcb ?

with a bit of luck if you use the manual door open override you may get the door open,. then i would strip the lock and look
