How about doing a continuity check from the motor plug on the main control board – its easy as they are in pairs. If thats ok the problems with the board.

Thanks Dave for your reply I did test the connections on the motor see my reply to motor resistance reading fasetester

Thanks Martin for your reply traced wires from plug on PCB. Relating to the 3 wires that came away from motor plug from right to left on PCB plug so that is the I replaced them on motor plug 123 tested again no go .
The motor plug is numbered from 1to8 no numbers on PCB plug so I don’t know if my connect are right.

The motor plug to PCB connector blocks are numbered albeit very tiny numbers that perhaps a magnifying glass would confirm.

Stripped down motor cleaned all carbon dust from inside high insulation reading motor is good so board seem like the problem
Person went for a new machine reading through some post the Bosch machine does not have a great success rate replacing brushes are Bosch machines not meant to be a quality machine.fasetesterSeptember 27, 2016 at 9:16 am #440709electrofix

dont know of other peoples problems but not had any bosch motor problems in ages
the only problem i am having is the replacement brushes. Am using the Qualtex car93 brushes and am finding they are not manufactured properly. What I find is if I just fit the brushes they will spark excessively. If I then remove the brushes instead of the wear being in the middle of the head it is at the tail end so i have to emery this edge before i install them.
I am assuming the the angle of the head is formed wrong in manufacture. I must order a gen set to check one day.
What it does mean is I have to spin the machine and remove and redress the brushes to make sure the sparking does not damage the motor. Also I tell the customer to use a lower spin speed for the first 10 washes and don’t load it full of towels to give them a chance to bed inDave

Thanks for your reply Dave when the new brushes were fitted the
sound OK when motor is turned by hand anticlockwise but when turned clockwise the make a clicking sound.Dave what is the most likely components to have been damaged on the PCB when the brushes burn out .
Also 3 wires had come away from the motor plug when removing from the motor I traced them to PCB plug the corrspound from right to left at the PCB no 1 2 3 is that the order the are connected at the motor plug thanks fasetester

I find with pattern brushes I always have to file a bit off edges of brush so it moves easily in the holder

never had to file the edge of the brushes, they are a bit tight till they get to about 2 mm from the bottom but i assume thats so they can be released after the motor has been put together.
no I mean the actual face of the brush that contacts the armaturemost of the time any damage on the main board will be visible. blown tracks etc
since you had to reconnect the wires i would do a resistance reading from the pcb. see if you can find Armature. field coil and tacho before you start deciding the board is at fault
