Bosch washing machine not rinsing properly

I bought a Bosch washing machine (WAB24161GB) in December 2014. I found that on rinsing my clothes, loads of suds are seen, despite 4 rinses. This even occurs when I put no washing powder in the machine. My daughter’s eczema has come up and gotten worse since we got this machine and we are all itching from the left over detergent that you can still feel in the clothes. Now i’m only using 30mls of washing powder and it cannot rinse that out either.

Does any one else have this problem?

I also need help with getting an independent report from a washing machine specialist; so I can claim this machine as faulty which I feel that it is. However, I have already had an engineer out who said it was doing everything it was supposed to do, or is this how washing machines are now a days as they use less water?

Hard water or soft water area?
What detergent are you using?
Is the drain filter clear?
If it uses a shared drain outlet, is that clear?
Please try to answer all questions as usually it is user error associated and NOT a design fault with the machine.

1. Hard water area (Essex)
2. Persil non bio, Fairy non bio or Aldi’s non bio (I change it often)
3. My husband took the trap under the sink off, that’s all clear, drain filter is clear
4. Not a shared drain outlet

Hmm? Well it’s a pretty basic machine with no option for addition deep rinses. I trust you don’t use the ‘Speed Perfect’ as that is best avoided anyway considering anyone affected by eczema. I can’t offer a definitive answer to your problem as it appears most options have been covered, sorry. 🙁

Thank you for your help anyway 🙂 , I have tried the speed perfect at times but I found it cuts out a rinse anyway which defeats the object.

just seeing this post now.
I’ve seen a case where detergent powder accidently got into the prewash section of the drawer as well as main wash compartment. The machine was being set to do a normal wash (no prewash). This powder was then taken in during he rinses. It took several rinse programs to get the machine clear of suds. Not sure if this would apply to your model.

I have always put the powder in the left hand side compartment as with my previous Bosch washing machine, I’ve just doubled checked this in the manual and this is correct. I have never used a pre wash setting before, do you mean internally in the washing machine? Can you please explain more?

According to the specifications this machine has an Allergy+ program. Which normally means better rinsing.

That is virtually impossible to achieve with this machine as the main wash compartment is separated from the prewash compartment by the fabric conditioner section in the centre.

On the assumption the user doesn’t throw powder liberally into the drawer without careful attention of the separate compartment all will be well and dosage not compromised.

virtually impossibly but not totally. I’ve seen it! Admittedly it was not the regular user of the machine. I just thought it would be useful to rule out this possibility.

Thank you for your comments, the allergy program is a 60 degree wash which isn’t any good for my clothes. My daughter’s Beko washing machine rinses ok so I am at a loss what to do now; put up with it, use even less powder or buy different make of washing machine but what I don’t know. All I have read is washing machines use so little water now so are they all like this

Came across a case a bit like this.
The customer reported symptoms like yours.
It turned the machine was not heating and after a period of time; aborted the wash program without doing any rinsing.
The customer thought the machine had finished the full program as they did not observe it throughout and were unaware that no heating had taken place.
The machine was a Bosch but not your exact model.
Heater failure is not so likely as your machine is almost new; but nevertheless something else to consider!
Bosch carry a two year guarantee in any case.

As I mentioned earlier, your Bosch is a very basic model and lacks the deep rinse facility on the more expensive models. That, I suggest, is a feature ideally suited to overcome your special needs. A feature I insist on the machine I own and use as a necessity.

The washing machine when I bought it was on offer in Currys reduced from £399 to £249. The last Bosch washing machine was also a 6Kg but this is smaller had I think four buttons on it extra rinse, wash plus and two others but I never had to use any of them so wanted a basic model. Spoke to Bosch again on Saturday all they can do is sent another engineer and if working to specification cased closed. Yesterday sent a video to the credit card company and await there outcome showing powder in the machine despite 2 extra rinses. I haven’t got faith to buy another bosch. basic model or not they should all wash rinse and spin. In 32years I have had washing machines I have never had one that doesn’t rinse properly.

The machine is heating up I can feel it on the glass. I have been using my daughters Beko washing machine for our clothes and that rinses fine though I can see water rising up when it rinses which the bosch doesn’t do. I don’t feel I over load it cotton 60 wash 1 bath sheet 6 tea towels or double bed sheet 6 pillow cases. Can you tell me what machines do deep rinses, if not how will I be able to tell. What ever the outcome this machine is going. Thankyou for all your coments
