Bosch Washing Machine WAQ284619B/12 Error Code E:34

The problem emerged a few weeks ago, I tried a few different things after getting an E:34 code, none worked.

Did a bit of digging online and worked out the E:34 code was something to do with the door lock. So i got a new lock and fitted it, at first it didn’t respond at all and then 40 seconds later the E:34 code came up again, so I’m guessing it isn’t the actual lock but the wiring going from the lock to the electric board

Any clues how to fix it?

is the door locking at all ?

The door isn’t locking in, usually you hear a clicking sound a second after you press the start button.

I shut the door, the light that indicates the door is shut comes on, I then press the start button and get the e:34 message. As far as I can tell there’s no problem with the handle mechanism

Almost certain to be a faulty Door Interlock. A replacement is part no: 00633765

Thanks Martin, I bought and fitted a new lock earlier this week but no joy, must be something else

just as a long shot i take it the lock you fitted matched the part number martin posted above

Yes it was exactly the same as the original

You’ll probably have to remove the error code from its memory before it’ll behave.

How do I do that? I’ve tried doing a reset but it hasn’t worked
