    Can anyone help with the above, fault symptom as follows.
    Intermittant droning noise when draining. Machine operating OK but this noise is getting worse. Is it possibly the drain pump and if so can it easily be got at and changed. 8)

    To check condition of pump, drain out the last of the water and open the filter. With the power off, check that the impellor has minimal lateral play. If it seems “wobbly”, it has worn in it’s housing and should be replaced.

    Part number is 144305, about £45 from memory – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for price confirmation and ordering.

    We cannot tell you exactly how to change the pump, sufficed to say it’s much simpler if the front panel is removed. Do nothing without pulling the plug first.
