Bosch washing machine won’t spin

Periodically the machine has refused to go on to rinse & spin after the washing cycle. I have just unblocked the pipes leading to and from the pump chamber, but now it refuses to spin although the pump is working fine. It span just once after I cleared the pipes and was accompanied by a burning smell. Any ideas?

check the carbon brushes on the motor as may have burnt down and need replacing easy job

Sounds very much like you still have a blockage there…the drain hose on the outside is easy to check but the chamber it fits to on the inside is a little more difficult…these can often hold a pint or so of scum (lovely lol).
Once cleaned and the machine is draining ok you could usefully run a washing machine descaling chemical through.
The long term solution is usually to use less detergent…the detergent manufacturers are very adept at getting us to use more than we require for most washes!
