ParticipantI have a very nice customer with a Bosch dishwasher model SGS46EO8GB/01 S/N 8608 000576.
This machine has a check water indicator, the problem is this illuminates during the fill process. This model appears not to have a pressure switch arrangement, so I assume the level is taken on a time fill ratio. Can any one enlighten me to the reason why this check water light appears, and the remedy.
Many thanks

Hi Greg,
Thanks for the info.
1/ Water pressure OK

3/ No crud
3a/ Whats Impellor Jug??? if you mean motor impellor I can turn that by hand (sort of via a small screwdriver turning the motor at the rear).
4/ Module … I suspected that but I did not want to mention it in case any one said AH yes thats it.Greg, who is or what was Duffy, and why should kwatt hate you (my ignorance shows hear)

Hi OT
Impellor jug (damn u silly german terminology) in proper English its a flow meter and is inline with internal fill hose just after fill valve and before water matrix.Im sure changing that will sort 😉
Now to Duffy, finally kwatt got an education in music 😆
She is good and worth a download or purchase 😉Greg

AH, that Duffy, she is great, nice taste Greg, she can sing as well. I confess I rather like Katherine Jenkins, she has to be the worlds most beautiful woman, and she can sing a bit as well, a bit different to Duffy though.
Back to the theme of this thread, I will let the customer know the options and let him take it from there.
Thanks for the info and education Greg, mmmm I will be dreaming of Duffy now (damit)

Damn, yea Super is correct, they will have to get BSH to sort, so as not to invalidate their guarantee 😉

If the machine is put into the service test programme and the flowmeter/impeller jug is faulty E3 will be displayed between static fill/fill dynamic and will not wash, instead it carrys on filling untill the safety level is reached and drain pump is operated, usually the customer hears a banging noise as the machine repatedly fills and empties.
Obviously this one will be covered by manufacturers warranty but if you need to know the service test programme, give me a shout! 😉

The FD number I gave you is incorrect, it should be FD8603, can you tell me if this would still be under guarantee as the customer cannot remember when they bought it.

Hi Dave
FD 8603 means it was manufactured in March 2006, so just out of its 2 years guarantee without a valid receipt 😉Greg
