    Hello,

I’ve had the above mentioned washing machine for about 6 months. The E- Nr is WAW32560GB.

    The fault code is E18.

I was washing 4 towels on the cotton function at 90 degrees on the Eco perfect function and the machine displayed the end time to be in about 3 hours. I had paused the machine for about 15 min and the remaining time was 2.5 hours.

My partner has followed the general instructions provided in the user manual and online.

Checked the filter, which was clean. Checked the drainage pipe which did not appear to be blocked. Although when blowing on it (as suggested online), he thought that there might have been a blockage in the machine itself.

Our product is under warranty and we are worried that if we open up the machine to check or do any repairs ourselves, this may be lost.

We have ordered in an engineer for this coming Thursday, 10 September but we are worried that if it is simple to fix, we will be charged the +/-£100 call out charge.

    Can you please help?

It will almost certainly be a blockage you need to sort as likely or not you will be charged for the engineer visit.

If the machine is connected to a shared waste then disconnect it, remove the filter and flush air or water through the pipe to ensure it is clear and not kinked. Double check the pump chamber (with a torch) to ensure it is clear of foreign objects. The third option involves dismantling the machine which will invalidate your warranty anyway. 🙁
