    Purchased this machine in October 2018, and it was working fine until last year (one month out of warranty!) when it started occasionally stopping at a random point in the wash cycle with all the controls frozen out, the door locking, and requiring the power to be switched off/on before it could be restarted. Recently the fault has been occuring far more frequently (daily) and can happen at any time e.g. right after powering the machine on, during a wash or rinse cycle, or even while stationary before or after a wash has been started.

    Some observations;
    * The fault can occur at any time while the machine is powered on (even when no wash cycle has been started)!
    * The fault is *always* proceeded by 4 clicking sounds in quick succession coming from the bottom left of the machine (which is where I presume the PCB is located?), I am no expert but it sounds like a relay being switched several times in fast succession, and then immediately afterwards the controls freeze out.
    * Once the fault has occured once (during a wash cycle) the machine will often, but not always, fault (after the 4 x clicks) immediately after power-on and the self-checks.
    * The diagnostics mode (accessed by turning the control ring to Rinse/Spin/Drain and holding the bottom-left of the touch screen for 7 secs) shows a code of E:12 -2E, but I haven’t found any useful information concerning this specific error code.

    I have checked everything obvious, such as water inlet filter, drain filter, hoses, etc.

    Any help or advice in diagnosing this issue further very much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    James

    I’m by no means qualified to offer any professional advise, but i’d be tempted to remove the board, inspect and look for water damage, or maybe a dry/cracked solder joint
    I’m going through something similar with an Indesit.

    I’ve got the exact same symptoms. Checked all inlets and outlets with no difference. I think its a problem with the controller as no error codes come up. Did you find the fault in the end?

    Found this post from Google as I had the exact same issue.

    Ended up paying for out of warranty repair and the engineer diagnosed the above error code as Dryer Module.

    Very strange as the dryer was working fine but they have been and replaced it and looks okay so far.

    Appreciate this comes a little too late but wanted to update this in case someone else has the same issue in future and finds this via Google also!
