My Bosch WET 2820 Front Load All-in-One Washer / Dryer has suddenly stopped working. I set the programme to the usual one and pressed the start button. The control panel appears to be locked and will not light up any of its bbuttons when pressed. Could this be a fault with some electonic part that may need replacing? Your urgent help would be appreciated. Thanks 😕

Do you get any lights on the front when you switch on the appliance? If no lights are on then check your mains socket. If the lights are on but you get no responce from the appliance try to reset the program. Turn the selector to the “x” position (sometimes labelled as “selection”) & press start. Turn off the machine & then select a new program. Once you have pressed start, the main wash LED should illuminate & then the door should lock then the program should start. If the main wash LED illuminates but the door doesn’t lock, you may just have a faulty door lock. If the door locks but no water goes in, you may have a kinked inlet hose or faulty water inlet valve. If none of this happens & you cannot get the machine to do anything then it could be an electronic fault. There are two electronic modules on this appliance (one behind the facia & one in the base) & both can cause spurious faults. Its worth saying that if the motor has a lot of carbon dust around it, this can cause an earth leakage fault which the electronics dont like very much & can also cause funny faults. Good luck!
