ParticipantBosch WET2820GB/01 Changed motor end frame, (as brushes worn out) now on wash, motor turns 4/5 sec stops, turns again 4/5 sec stops, goes in the other direction for 4/5 sec stops and that is it no flashing leds, just sits there.(when it does run it seems a bit fast, not the normal was speed)
On spin it will spin for 4/5 sec stops spin for 4/5 sec stops, spin again for 4/5 sec, and that is it.
I did not mark the position of the fields to the end frame, but did check I had continuity through the fields and armature at the motor plug, so guessed I had it round the correct way.
When it did not work I tried the fields round the other way, but still will not run for more than a minute.
Did the old worn out brushes do something to the PCB?
Many thanks for looking

Tacho built into the end frame.
The tumbling for 4/5 seconds is therefore a bit of a worry and I’m thinking you may have to dig out the module on the base and check that out. 🙁

Found the tacho in the end frame, new one tests the same as old one. Other than continuity testing is there anything else I can do?
Thanks

Not done one of these for years but is it possible to fit the field coils the wrong way round somehow? have a distant memory of such a thing.
the pcb triac is available on its own for that one 00155272 so may be worth a punt.

I think the tacho has a plug on the end frame that plugs into the main part of the motor, has the plug missed the socket so to speak?? Alan

Thank you for all your suggestions, but it was a faulty part.
I fitted new brushes to the old motor end frame(yes it can be done)and it all worked as normal. Thanks again
