Just recently changed brushes on this machine
Called back today with complaint poor spin
Tested with full load, machine spins until 7 minute remaining then returns to zero and stops.
Have cleaned armature, checked insulation ok

    Any ideas please

Don’t forget if you set the ‘Spin Only’ cycle it only does a short spin and switches off anyway. Only on a full cottons cycle does it do a complete spin at all the various spin speeds.

PCB’s can get damaged by the armature insulation and an earth leak on the heater can also cause spin probs. So that gives you a few options to sort. 😀

It’s normal for the time to jump from 7 to 1min if your testing with no load because the machine has nothing to balance-out so it will just skip to 1min and carry on spinning, had me confused when I first noticed it. Maybe it could be down to unbalanced loads, not draining properly or the customer is just paranoid after the repair.

Are you referring to the spin only cycle?

    Thanks for your help guys,

the machine has problems i described with normal loads,

after cleaning the armature and making sure brushes are well bedded things have improved, but it does still ‘time jump’ on spin at the end of a full wash cycle.
