ParticipantHi
I have a Bosch WF02467GB/01 (FD 8505 600870, if that helps).
The RCD on our house supply tripped today while the machine was on (we have plasterers working elsewhere in the house and they’ve tripped power a few times, so we weren’t suprised).
When I tried to use the machine tonight however, the machine was completely dead. No lights, nothing.
Checked the plug and the neutral was blackened and the plug top had melted in to the plug body. However the fuse had not blown ❓
I’ve had the lid off the machine and can trace power with a mains tester screwdriver, via the black and grey wires, to the rear of the control dial. Don’t know which wires to follow from that point.
Is it safe to assume that the control board PCB (or dial which is integral to the board) has blown, or is there another likely cause? What further diagnostics can I do?
The board is listed at £155 on Bosch’s website, so it’s a big gamble to take if that’s not the cause.
Hope someone can advise?
Thanks
Andy

Replace the plug top AND the 13amp wall socket….both have burnt out….that’s your problem and not the Bosch 😉

Sorry, should have said, I’ve replaced the plug and checked the wall socket with another appliance.
With the plug replaced, I can trace power to the contacts at the rear of the program selector dial, but don’t know how/where to test beyond that to confirm if the board is dead
This house has been seriously DIY bodged by previous owners (we’re putting it right as we go), so it would not have been beyond the realms of possibilty that the socket had gone as well as the plug – but alas, it appears to be the Bosch.
Cheers

Oh dear so the only way you’re going to find out is to remove the control panel, unclip the control module, take off all the connections (photo them first so you know where they go on refit). Then take the board out and check for surface damage on the PCB. 🙁
