ParticipantMy Bosch WFB 2005 washing machine is progressing through the cycle (filling, pumping out, etc), but will not spin. The belt is fine, and is still securely located on the drum and motor.
From what I have read I guess it must be the motor bushes (which have never been replaced). The machine is 6-7 years old. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.

Hi
To supply part number for brushes if required would need to know if you have a Ceset or Sole motor. Thanks

ParticipantHi
Thanks for the useful advice.
Greg – the following info was posted inside the door:
E-Nr WFB2005GB/36
FD7912 02335
B0GB 3311
Type BATIRIS 2Is there any way of telling whether the motor is a Ceset or Sole from this? If not, its plug out and into the bowels of the machine tomorrow evening.
Cheers, Dave

It won’t I’m afraid, the motor manufacturer will be on the motor itself 😉

Hi
The motor isn’t marked as a Ceset or Sole anywhere, as far as I can tell after a close up look. It is marked with the number 492-598.
The only other numerical marking is “129 60006.01”.
The only thing that I can find on the web after a Google search is a description of a “Bosch Siemens motor 492-598” at the following web page: http://www.digisellers.nl/acatalog/webs … en_38.html , but there isn’t an illustration.
Is this info any use in identifying which brushes I need?
I also have digital pictures, if that is of any help. 😕
Thanks,
Dave

That’s a Balay Bosch motor – cheapest way to get the brushes is to order p/no 1604462 through spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
Always providing you are sure that this is what is required……… 😀

I have exactly the same problem but for a 5 year old Bosch WFL 245S. No previous problem and very well used. Please can someone advise how difficult/ expensive it is to fix?
Thanks _ infrared

Two different motors fitted on this range – a Siemens Bosch motor, brushes are £23 + VAT and an FHP motor, brushes are £29 +n VAT. Your engineer will charge you for a hours work as getting the motor out in the first place can be quite a struggle. Labour rates vary across the country, so this should be discussed at the time when you make your appointment.

Thanks very much for your help Penguin45 – much appreciated! I’ve already contacted one of your engineers – though Sutton Coldfield to Leics seems quite a stretch for a popular brand such as Bosch? I certainly won’t be attempting this myself.
