    Hi All,

Our w/m stopped pumping out water yesterday. After manually draining the water and emptying the machine, I opened the filter but couldnt seen anything blocking it. I also disconnet the hose from the ubend in the sink and again no obvious blocking. Next up I put a little water in, set the machine to the ‘P’ program, which should pump any water out. However the pump makes an initial clicking noise and then hums but it doesnt pump any water out.

While still running on the P program, I opened the filter, drained the excess water and I could see the pumps blades wheren’t spinning. So with a pen I flicked the blades around and hey presto it kicked it. I closed the filtered and added more water through the powder dispenser and it all got drained. So it seems the pump just wont start that initial spin. Is it an electrical fault or is the pump moter gone? Will I need a new pump?

    Cheers for any help

Re: BOSCH WFB2004. Fault with Pump

Almost certainly it will need a new pump…

    This is probably the one…

BUT, do check by quoting the full model number and Fd number (both on the rating plate)

Don’t forget to unplug if you’re doing it yourself :zap: or alternatively click the link below to find and engineer near you.

    Hi Clive,

The exact model is WFB2004/16, which is not listed in the link above. Do you know if there is one available for this model?

    Cheers

The pump required for your machine is BS51103 – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.

Re: BOSCH WFB2004. Fault with Pump

    Hi,

Just to follow up. I took the pump out and examined it (and while Im no expert) there was no obvious problems. Nothing seemed out of place. Connected it all back up and ran the pump program and it work. Ran it again and it didnt. It looks like the initial kick to start the fan isnt strong enought to turn the blades as once you turn it with a pen it kicks in and start to spin. So I guess I just want to double check it is the pump/pump motor and not something electronical.

    Again thanks for any help.
    Cheers
