FD 8305800003Apparantly customer selects programme, display shows 44, presses start and nothing happens other than ‘ready’ light on. She says door will open straight away. Does this sound like a door lock problem, will order one before going if needs be.

Don`t know where all the Bosch experts are tonight Jim 😆 but I would agree with you on faulty door interlock. Part No. 182154

That explains why I haven’t got it yet then. One or two have been slow to arrive in last few hours.
Try sending it to my Zen addy and I guarantee it will be here before you have lifted your finger of the keyboard. 🙂January 29, 2006 at 1:42 am #162561BSH-MAN

Just to put this to bed, tried new doorlock without success, checked module for any obvious signs of damage but found none. As this machine is a slimline and very thin on the ground, and as I could not be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain the module was faulty without the official test software I decided it was not worth the risk ordering a £101 inc vat module. I advised the customer to contact Bosch and advise me of the outcome. She has just phoned to confirm that the module was indeed faulty. The good news is that due to the machine being just over 2 years old, Bosch are going to fit the part for labour only. Bad news is it has to be ordered from Germany and ETA is around 18th Feb.
Thanks to Gegsy for his help in the background.

I loved the pun by the way Jim (thin on the ground)….. 😆
But my point is, I never knew Bosch did a 40cm deep machine until this thread cropped up (Thinks…I wonder if Don knows??)
In the past there have been many enquiries over machines with a shallow depth. Zanussi did one a few years ago (i.e FL853) and Baumatic also.
Interesting stuff!
