ModeratorThis machine has been in storage for 12 months, customer ran it on a wash without clothes to flush it through. He thought he noticed a ‘warm smell’ but not sure, he then set it for a normal wash and there is no sign of life.
As a quick check I replaced the door interlock, even removed the slightly broken door handle to make sure it wasn’t fouling without success, no lights , door won’t lock, not a peep.
I can trace a circuit from the mains suppressor to the door lock but no neutral, I can also trace a neutral to the selector switch on the module. I can neither see or smell any sign of component burning or damage.Could this be a module fault, just had a look at the price, lets just say its prohibitive. 😥

Hi Jim
You have more or less limited it down to module to be honest.
It has had a part change to 493685 £157.59+ VAT list.Greg

As I said, prohibitive, or down right bloody ridiculous, such a shame on a still decent machine. A possible ISE candidate methinks. 😉

Whirlpools new domino machine has had a problem with some of their ctrl boards, bad packaging meant moisture got into them, if its been in storage for 12 months, maybe there has been some moisture on the board?

Unfortunately the board is snuff dry, 😥 I would expect to see some lights on if it was just moisture on the board.

Assuming it`s 481540 , Masterpart have stock at £84:99+vat.
Might even be worth a call to QER ❓ but they normally ask for the number on the PCB to identify it.Bryan

Yes it was Bryan, that was the original but there must have been a component/software change for BSH to have supeceded it 😕
