The dreaded flashing pre wash light again. Followed the instructions to test the element and to clean the inlet, pump and level bell. Worked a treat, Now no flashing light. HOWEVER:….
after every wash the laundry comes out hot. Either the thermostat,(or equivelant) is not working or the heater is not swithching off.
I have checked the thin brown wires to the conector next to the element, and all the way back to the main board, and have looked for any other wires I may have dislodged inadvertantly.

    ❓ QUESTIONS
    1. Any suggestions as to what has gone wrong.
    2. How can I test whether the thermostat function is working properly. I have simple test gear, ie. a good multimeter.
    3. If necessary can I get replacement components and are they easily installable?

This is urgent as the machine services an active family of 5

When you sorted previous fault out did you have to disconnect appliance from water supply?? If so I would imagine you have the hot and cold hoses the wrong way round.

    Hi

Did you disconnect the inlet hoses at he back of machine , you may have reconnected them back the wrong way round if machine is finishing with everything hot . Becuase the rinces should be with cold water so should be cold when you take things out.

Thanks both of you I will try that. If you hear nothing it’s fixed. Thanks
