I was getting error code of four flashes and the symptons of not being able to complete a spin. I replaced the brushes and now realise I hadn’t witnessed the full set of symptoms. (I had run the spin cycle only to test the error code.) On attempting a full wash cycle the water doesn’t fill to the required level, the wash cycle is shortened and erratic, the above (not spinning properly and four flashes) is still happening. Does this sound like I need to replace the PCB or is it time to look for a new machine. The one is about 13 years old and so far given no trouble. Any advice would be welcome – so thanks in advance.

If it doesn’t fill correctly , i’d be checking the pressure chamber on the lower rear edge of the tub. If this gets clogged up , you will get water level probs and the machine will say its still got water in it even if empty after a drain

Thanks for this. I’ve checked and is seems to be OK. Would this explain the error code of having to replace the brushes and the drum not initiating the spin properly?
I appreciate your time on this and am on the brink of calling for reinforcements!
